Their scorching, sensual affair ended in heartbreak and recrimination, but Christian Grey cannot get Anastasia Steele out of his mind, or his blood. Determined to win her back, he tries to suppress his darkest desires and his need for complete control, and to love Ana on her own terms.
But the horrors of his childhood still haunt him, and Ana’s scheming boss, Jack Hyde, clearly wants her for himself. Can Christian’s confidant and therapist, Dr. Flynn, help him face down his demons? Or will the possessiveness of Elena, his seducer, and the deranged devotion of Leila, his former submissive, drag Christian down into the past?
And if Christian does win Ana back, can a man so dark and damaged ever hope to keep her?
Review:
This is a series that I begged for as I was reading the original. There were so many things in the Fifty Shades books that left me curious and wondering what the hell was going on inside Christian's mind. There were specific scenes that I needed to know from his point of view. It's safe to say that I was jumping for joy when I learned that Grey was going to be a thing and even happier when I learned that the series was going to continue with Darker, as my favorite scene of the entire series is in Fifty Shades Darker.

I really enjoyed reading this book and learning the true depths of Christian's issues with his past. What makes these books so great is reading along as Christian figures out how to deal with his past and separate himself from the issues engraved in him from such a young age. Reading the story from his point of view brings such a new light to his character and his relationship with Ana and it just makes their story so much better.

I couldn't get enough of this book and I can't wait to finish the series. I honestly think these books are better than the original.
