Review: Twilight by Stephenie Meyer

Twilight (Twilight, #1)
Cover Source:
Title: Twilight
Author: Stephenie Meyer
Series: Twilight Saga #1
Version Reviewed: Finished, Paperback.
*I purchased this book myself.*

GoodReads Summary:
About three things I was absolutely positive.
First, Edward was a vampire.
Second, there was a part of him - and I didn't know how dominant that part might be - that thirsted for my blood.
And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.
In the first book of the Twlilight Saga, internationally bestselling author Stephenie Meyer introduces Bella Swan and Edward Cullen, a pair of star-crossed lovers whose forbidden relationship ripens against the backdrop of small-town suspicion and a mysterious coven of vampires. This is a love story with bite.

(This review was originally written in 2013. It is a re-read and review.)
I first read Twilight right after Eclipse came out. I had the hardest time ever trying to find it and when I did, I didn't want to start it until I had the second book. My boyfriend at the time was over but was playing a video game so I decided to read the first page. I finished the book that night.

My love for Twilight, I believe, will never fade. I was always into vampires and the paranormal but this book catapulted me into my love of paranormal romance.  Even reading the book again (for the millionth time, it seems) I found myself not wanting to put it down and I discovered new things that I hadn't noticed when I had read it in the past.

I love how the book was written and it was so easy to fall in love with the characters. Even though I'm now older than Bella is in Twilight (I was the same age when I read it the first time), she's still really easy to relate to and easy to understand.  She's simply human.  And Edward...well, Edward will always be Edward. I fell in love with him (though he does have his faults) the first time I read the book and every time since then.

Favorite Characters: Edward, Alice, Bella, Charlie.
Rating: 5 Stars.
