Review:
I was super excited to get a copy of this book from Michelle because, in the past, I had managed to ARCs of the first two books when they were available for reviewers. I knew that if I didn't get a paperback copy of Diamonds Are Forever that I was gonna be super bummed because my series wouldn't be complete. Unlike the other two, however, this copy of the book that I'm reviewing is not an ARC because they weren't available this time around.
As soon as I got the book in the mail I dove straight into it. The series so far had been great and I had no doubts that I was going to love this one. If you have never read The Secret Diamond Sisters, then I definitely recommend that you do, especially if you're fans of books like Gossip Girl. In many ways this series reminds me of Gossip Girl, yet instead of the Upper East Side of Manhattan, we're cruising the glittery streets of Las Vegas. But trust me, there's so much drama in these girls' lives that it could rival those of New York socialites.
The Secret Diamond Sisters are hotel heiresses and pretty new to the Las Vegas scene. They found out that their father was Adrien Diamond, rich and powerful owner of the Diamond Hotel and ever since then, there's lives have been turned upside down. In Diamonds In The Rough the girls start their first year at Goodman School and soon begin making friends (and enemies). They befriend international popstars, get tangled in forbidden love affairs and begin making a name for themselves. They even learn that they really don't know as much about their own lives as they thought.
All of this comes to a head in the amazing third book in the series, Diamonds Are Forever. The author managed to perfectly wrap everything up into a really great story and it was fun to see how things turned out.
I think there was more drama in this book than in the first two books combined but it definitely worked for the story. We got to see the characters grow so much and learn so much about who they are as individuals as well as a family. It was nice to see them mature and begin to understand the roles they played and how to live the fabulous life that they had been given.
I really loved how the book, and the series, ended. It was perfectly fitting to the rest of the story and I couldn't have pictured it any other way.
I definitely recommend this series and the only bad thing I can say about it that there aren't anymore books to read. :)
