GoodReads Summary:
A beast. Not quite wolf or bear, gorilla or dog but a horrible new creature who walks upright--a creature with fangs and claws and hair springing from every pore. I am a monster. When the movie first came out, I admittedly had no idea that it was based on a book until a friend of mine informed me so. We went on a double date to the movies and I really enjoyed it. Ever since, I've wanted to get my hands on the book. I finally got my chance to read it and dove right in.
You think I'm talking fairy tales? No way. The place is New York City. The time is now. It's no deformity, no disease. And I'll stay this way forever--ruined--unless I can break the spell.
Yes, the spell, the one the witch in my English class cast on me. Why did she turn me into a beast who hides by day and prowls by night? I'll tell you. I'll tell you how I used to be Kyle Kingsbury, the guy you wished you were, with money, perfect looks, and the perfect life. And then, I'll tell you how I became perfectly . . . beastly.
I had no idea, but thought it was really neat that Kyle/Adrian is really a “beast” in the literal sense of the term in the book and not just an “unattractive” guy like in the movie. Fur, claws, the whole deal.
The book was really good and I enjoyed it immensely. It was written really well and I loved the chat room inserts, very entertaining.
Definitely one I would read again and I can’t wait to read Bewitching.
Memorable Quotes:

*I bought this book with my own money.
